Our task consisted in creating the opening titles for a non-existent motion picture, and try to incorporate and blend them within the action of the frames, applied through the basic guidelines that Bruno Munari sets in his Method, used for the creation of objects or design pieces (as the correct solution for a specific problem).

This project was divided in three stages:
The first step consisted in developing a brand capable of functioning with different reading levels and able to identify each blog of the network. The brand had to be simple enough (almost as an iconic figure) so it could adapt in different sizes and usages, and generate a strong identity as well.

In a second step, I had to design all the graphic pieces for each blog, so they could relate each other with the new brand, since at the beginning each blog had it’s own identity and no relationship whatsoever with the rest of the network.

The last step consisted in designing the general structure for each one of the blogs. I created a wordpress theme maleable enough so it could adapt for each specific scenario, being able to rearrange the different content modules, ads, and so on.

The project consisted in designing a brand capable of reflecting the concepts of innovation, entertainment and professionalism through a system made of  logotype + images and colors.

The result was an arch forming the letter “A”, generated by beams of laser lights, which reflects the dynamic and energy of the brand.

Regarding the website design, it had to be simple yet effective, and capable of showing all the current events, it also had to offer a way to book an event or make a query, and the chance to integrate the site with the most popular social networks.

Moka is a joint project executed by my and 4 colleagues, with the idea of creating quality design pieces for the local market.

The name was adopted mainly because we were after a word with strong pregnancy, easy to pronounce and write, both in English and Spanish, and above all, that had a web domain available (without to mention that we love coffee as we consider it our daily fuel).

Promotional visuals under the concept of  “Live the Color”, to market the brand in events and night clubs.

I was in charge of designing the splash screen* and all the interface’s graphic elements for the App, such as: buttons, menues, icons and other props.

Work commissioned by “The App Company”, through the agency “SF360″.

* Although the current splash screen wasn’t approved by the client, I think it’s the one that best represents the App identity.

I was in charge of designing the entire image, including the current brand development, website design and all the graphics, both online and some pieces offline.

I was also in charge of designing a microsite destined to promote one of their apps, called “Sms Preview”.

Another Numo project consisted in designing the graphic interface (UI-UX) for another app, called “Autosync” (a software which allows the user to sync their contacts through mobile phones). I was also asked to design icons, graphics and visual elements in general.

I was assigned the task to develop a graphic system that point and relate directly to the event, referring to a fantasy world full of colors, textures and sensations.

Every poster referred to unique universes, exploring subjects such as: the space, underwater world, the nature, etc.

The client requested two different concepts, the first one was focused on a luxurious and “glimpsy” style, and a much more aggressive second one, appealing to images related to off road, action and adrenaline theme.

I was in charge of designing the mark and the website. The goal was to design a brand that adequately represent the store, both in its general activities and smaller details.

While this piece was not selected by the client, I think it’s the one that best represents the essence of the brand and that communicates its goal.
The website is still under design and development stage.

Mosoul is the brand responsible of designing and producing car mufflers based on the design of elegant curves and the selection of premium materials for its construction.

This job presented a major challenge when designing the logotype so it can represent the brand properly, so there was an extensive presentation of alternatives and iterations on different concepts up to the current result.

I was in charge of designing their website and the entire interface for their official iPhone App.

The client provided a sQuba picture so I can use it for reference. The Poster was created in A1 size for street advertising.

The graphic’s main concept is based on the attraction and magnetism generated by the place, the event and the people.

The project consisted in redesigning the brand and generating a concept that reflected the different aspects of the place, where the rustic and historic side coexists with the modern and cosy. The key point of this project was to design and develop a website which showed this particular interaction, and let people know about the history and stories of this magical place.

El Vagón (The Wagon) is a classic restaurant, specialized in preparing dishes and cooking only chicken, in all its variants. The most peculiar thing about this place, is that it’s also a Museum, since it’s really a restored wagon which was originally part of the North Central Railway.

The job consisted in taking some of the previous identity elements and shape them into a more solid brand, flexible enough to adapt any kind of media, such as printed or digital.

Regarding the web site, it was developed in conjunction with the Designer and Developer Gabiton, creating as a result, a self-managing system powered by WordPress.

The job consisted in developing the basic stationery elements wich allowed the product distribution and place promotion, such as:

La Reina Disco was one of my first clients, and remains so to this day, entrusting the design of their posters and online flyers.

The main goal was to design a modern card with the least amount of information on it, so it had printed an URL which pointed to a multimedia website that provided more information about the event. I’ve also designed a disposable card (which was attached to the original one) containing the same information as the website (in case someone couldn’t access it).

Work done for the Morphology & Modeling class for the Image & Sound Design career. This project consisted in creating a 3d space able to represent the brand and it’s line of products, in this case, the launch of it’s new 55″ display and a surround setup, mounted in a simulated living room.

This work is the result of one of my firsts attempts in studying perspective, modeling and materials, and the overall presentation of a CGI environment.

I was in charge of designing a giant poster of 9×4 meters, placed on the side of the road to promote the Flour Festival in that place.

The website was developed with responsive technology, wich allows to be viewed from tablets and mobile phones.

The campaign was developed by the marketing department of the company, where they coordinated a dance group with more than 20 people, executing an urban intervention and performing a choreography in the middle of Santa Fe’s walkway.

Recording, editing and post-production done in collaboration with Victoria Fuentes, Pía Cucher y Facu Bolatti.

It took nearly 4 years so I can finally have a fully updated portfolio (yes, 4 years). Between a lot of work, short time, and some inattention… I never could finish all those sketches, designs and versions that I’ve started and left half ways. I think there’s a lot of people who must feel the same.

They are right those who say that there’s no more difficult thing that designing for yourself, wether it’s a logotype, a website, or just a short sentence describing our profile (of course I wasn’t the exception either!). Figuring this out, I set a few guidelines and objectives for 2011… I’d try to define my personal brand, my portfolio, my work style, my hobbies, almost everything… and order them in such way that I could simplify certain aspects of my life (another great challenge for designers and entrepreneurs in general).

So… after many comes and goes, and above all… time, I could finish my new site and blog!

What are you going to find in this blog? Basically, it’s and excuse to talk about different topics of interests related to graphic design and new technologies, but most of all, it’s an excuse to invite colleagues, friends (and everyone who are interested) to write and participate, providing richer insights and opinions.

The main challenge was to generate a basic, Geometric-Block style typography, using the least amount of structural elements (knobs and handles).

Nowadays, I’m designing a typographic variable called Nmd Rounded (including a full set of characters), and trying to get it published so it can be fully available and free for anyone who want to use it.

I’ve selected those photos who had unique framing, filtered shadows and special details.

Personal project.

The project consisted in designing an animated piece used as decoration inside the place, displayed through Hd TVs, showing customized messages and promotions between round and round.

The graphic’s main concept is based on the diversity and fun related with the music, and all of these things gathered in the same place.
